Description

A new opportunity in Montreal West for one of our clients, a company in the education sector, for a role of Assistant Director of Financial Services. A great mandate that allows you to take up new challenges and manage resources in order to respond to the various management activities within the service.

Permanent position, full time.

Responsabilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participate in organisation policies for the dossiers the incumbent oversees ;
- Define or collaborate in defining the objectives and policies while
taking into account the general objectives and policies of the organisation ;
- Establish the programs, the delegation of responsibilities, the standards and procedures for implementing programs ;
- Oversee activities, projects or resources ;
- Assess the results of the implementation of activities under the incumbent's responsibility ;
- Direct, supervise and evaluate the staff under the incumbent's responsibility ;
- Assist and advise the director as well as the senior staff of other services and institutions concerning dossiers ;
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation of Government (MEQ) monthly financial reports and year-end financial statements ;
- Prepare detailed year-end analyses of variances of actual results to budget, including recommendations for improvements pertaining to the financial administration of the Board ;
- Perform other analyses as required ;
- Oversee the Accounting operations ;
- Attend Board and Committee meetings when required, and organize and prepare appropriate documentation for said meetings pertaining to financial matters ;
- Participate in the preparation of the annual organisation budget ;
- Replace the director, as needed.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS


- 6 years minimum of experience in the same role including 2 years in supervision ;
- BAC in accounting / finance ;
- CPA - asset ;
- Experience in an accounting firm - asset ;
- Good knowledge of the public sector - asset.

SKILLS

- Bilingualism (French - English) ;
- Mastery of computer software ;
- Sense of organization, rigor, thoroughness ;
- Ability to manage several files at the same time, respect for deadlines.
